SMOKE TREE GOLD FEVER
2004 13.2hh Welsh section B palomino stallion.
Winner of numerous awards and blue ribbons.
Even as a yearling when shown in hand for the first time, he easily won his class.
He hasn't stopped winning since.
A good breeding stallion has to have a good work ethic, a sensible brain
and a great temperament and that can only be shown by how he does in training, performing in the show ring or in any competition. Training can be stressful and intense, especially in dressage and this is where a stallions true God given nature will show.
It will also show how sound he is.
Nuggets work ethic, fantastic mind and honest efforts of trying everything asked
of him is what he passes on to his progeny.
Nugget scored 74% when competing 2nd Level Dressage in California 2010 by Olympic level judge Linda Zang!!

Nugget's book is open from March 1st to Sept 31st.
As you can see, Nugget loves to jump and drive as well as compete in dressage.
He is clearly a pony for all seasons.
From a training 2-wheeler in June ......
.....to a more advanced marathon type 4-wheeled carriage in July.
Nugget has taken to driving like a duck to water, another show of his excellent temperament and character.
For a foal of exceptional quality, choose Nugget.
December's ADT held at Happs in Ethel had us bring home the blue for the Prelim class. We had the fastest times in the hazards and cones. All that practicing last month paid off !!
Nugget and Chris win Hi-point in Training level 2012 for the Way Out West Driving Club against 18 competitors.
Nov and Dec - Frequent trips between the rain storms and cold spells to Fort Lewis and down the road to the local coffee house have helped keep Nugget fit and raring to go.
Chris and Nugget won their first CDE (training level) at Happy Trails Arena in Ethel WA. We were delighted with how both Nugget and Chris have come up through the ranks and we believe that next year they might just be ready to step up to Prelim.
We attended the events at Teddy Bear in Spokane, Inavale in Oregon and The E.I. back to back at Happy Trails (Happs) during the summer of 2012. We learned a lot but progress was made.
March 17th 2012 This was our first time to the American Driving Trials Clinic at Edelweiss Stables owned by Robert Griswold. WIth Chris holding the reins and me in the back, Nugget is seen here "speeding" around the barrels in the hazard section of the trials. There are 3 sections, dressage, cones and hazards. We were the slowest ones there but we hope to improve by the next event. We came home enthusiastic about attending the next event in April at Happy Trails Arena in Ethel.
Many thanks to Wanda Lusk of Way Out West minis for these 3 photos at the ADT event at Edelweiss Equestrian centre Olympia.
Jan 1st 2012 New Years Day drive at the NWEC in Rainier. It was our first time out and away from any arenas and Nugget behaved beautifully and we had a great time.
